Once we moved higher version we notice the “quality” settings exist, and I’ve since set quality to normal with hardware acceleration turned on (previously couldn’t use this as created new issues but seems resolved in later version. Then eventually bit the bullet with 1.5.1 (presume this is most recent). Thanks Mitzsch, yeah it had been on a version for a while as when I went to 1.4.1 back when that came out, this exact issue happened … and I shelved it. For now we’re back on 1.3.1 without issue. If if go back to version 1.3.1, the issue disappears.Ī bit lost. No issues playing in VLC and other players. Toggled with various other settings, hardware decode on/off and so forth but not much changes it. If I go into the Video Quality settings and drop quality to LOW, it returns to normal - but visually the quality is less. If i force i to transcode, issue goes away but of course quality is a bit lower and it drops to a PCM stream (and simply not desirable). Since doing so, any 4KHDR movies appears to be really jittery and slow. The other day, we upgraded from version 1.3.1 to latest : 1. ![]() All Direct Play / Direct Stream enabled, no transcoding. It’s been working flawlessly and passes through DTS-HDMA and other formats in 4K without any issues for a while now.
